Metropolitan Magazine Cover

So this image, before being retouched does not show an ugly girl, but after being retouched shows the perfect blond girl. The image basically showed how society describes women. She's quite fake and so is everyone's image of the women because of this "photoshop dieting." I think that the classic reaction of the class wasn't due to her being ugly but to how intense the changes were.

This image basically describes why so many young girls and mature women struggle to be perfect. Seeing the images today in class makes me question almost everything that I've seen in magazines as well as many photo's in the news. It is a quite obvious problem because I have experienced the self doubt that every girl goes through. This is fake. And fake shouldn't be popular.
