Martín Weber's collection of work entitled A Map of Latin American Dreams, documented the dreams of individuals throughout South America. All of the subjects are pictured in seemingly truthful poses with a chalkboard which has their dream written on it. He uses his art to show how poverty, and corruption affects the lives of those struggling to make it.

My dream is to die in my opinion was one of the strongest pieces in the collection. This image depicts a young boy who on his chalkboard says that he wishes to die. I felt it was the strongest because it seems to have had many meaning behind it. The boy appears to have been through a lot in his few years, his body is severely bruises and burnt which can mean that he was either tortured or he is involved into some not so good things and those scars are his battle wounds. The boy though he is young it is apparent that he has lined a hard life being that he is visibly aged from stress and something else i thought was humorous was the background wall which had scars similar to the boy.

Overall all of the pieces were well composed and had truthful essence about them which is what made the collection so jarring.
