This is the painting that I also choose to do this response to. Your analysis of the painting is on point in my opinion and your interpretation of what comes with money was very interesting. You stated the luxuries that come with immense wealth one on which was education. This is ironic because here in America we don’t see education as a luxury.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you mentioned the class divide in the painting. Here in America we complain about a class divide, but it is nothing compared to what goes on throughout the world. The rich are so rich and privileged while the poor suffer and starve. This painting does a good job of demonstrating this and you do a good job of pointing it out.
