Color - trend or evolution

This blog is about photos which are black and white and whether the move into color photos has just been as the title says a trend or an evolution. Though it never really answers the question, i chose it because the photos shown are beautiful when shown in color but some are even more beautiful when seen in black and white. I believe that the use of color in photos has become a conscious choice, therefore an evolution. The photos in black and white just help to capture the elegance in the picture and to help show more detail through allowing your eyes to not focus on just the colors but on the actual picture and the objects or lack of in the pictures.
I think the author of this blog should have given more of their opinion on the subject instead of just throwing it out there and never expanding on it. Though the author does go on to say that because an artist decides to take black and white photos he/she must explain why, when another artist can take the same picture and have to offer no explanation. This is a strange concept because it is the black and white photos that should not have to be explained they were the original idea, color wasn't used til much later. Just because a photo is black and white does not mean that it is any less trendy than one of color just means it has a more classical take on something modern maybe. Either way black and white or in a color a photo is beautiful regardless and should be interpreted without a preconceived notion because of it's colors or lack of.
